Playground School Complex | Scandurra Studio

The project aims at creating a protected internal space, a system of courts, patios, factory pieces which create a complex structure with an intense rapport between the interior and exterior. A system of fences structuring the open and closed spaces which give the possibility to live the green spaces as outdoors rooms. This space is at the same time a big dynamic playground and space for the learning tranquility. In this way we mean school as a total experience, as a place of affection and belongings. This is an educational space able to influence positively the kids’ memory. The project is designed with the idea of sharing a happy space which can stimulate learning with different activity and concentration levels. These requirements have lead to design a space for learning and growth where the path for kids is represented by a great “Eden” garden where they can grow up from the early age. It is a garden, where the idea of internal and external is mixed to create a fluency and continuity between experience, training, learning, and where the game and the nature can quickly become an educational tool. [IT] Il progetto vuole costruire un grande spazio interno protetto, un sistema di cortili, patii, corpi di fabbrica che costruiscano un organismo complesso dotato di un intenso rapporto tra interno ed esterno. Un sistema di recinti che strutturino gli spazi aperti e chiusi e dia la possibilità di vivere gli spazi verdi come stanze a cielo aperto. Questo organismo è al contempo grande terreno di gioco dinamico e spazio per la tranquillità dell’apprendimento. Intendiamo la scuola come esperienza totale, come luogo di affezione e appartenenza. Spazio esso stesso formativo e capace di incidere positivamente nella memoria dei bambini. Il progetto è pensato con l’idea di condivisione di uno spazio felice che stimoli un apprendimento con diversi livelli di attività e concentrazione. Questi presupposti hanno portato a pensare ad uno spazio per l’apprendimento e la crescita, dove il percorso dei bambini sia rappresentato da un grande giardino “eden”, in cui crescere dalla prima infanzia sino all’inizio dell’adolescenza. Un giardino in cui l’idea di interno e di esterno si mescolino per creare una fluidità e una continuità tra esperienza, formazione, apprendimento e in cui il gioco e la natura siano immediatamente strumento formativo.
