Toru arquitectos was born in 2017 when Edel Ruiz and Mariana Torres worked together to design and build a couple of houses for a client who wanted to invest in real state. But before that they already had a career of their own.
Mariana studied architecture and a masters degree in urban development, and worked in a couple of other firms which specialized mainly in residential projects where she learned a lot about finishes and to care for the detail.
Edel, also an architect and a building engineer is an expert leading worker groups and contractors, and at the same time loves design. The perfect match to create functional as well as beautiful spaces.
Together they have made several projects including hospitality and sports spaces since the firm was founded but their strong point is always residential architecture.
