Olivieri Office

Olivieri Office is an architecture studio founded in 2013 by Davide Olivieri, after a ten-year cooperation with Guillermo Vázquez Consuegra and David Chipperfield.

The studio is specialized in architecture, museography and landscaping, winning several international contests – among them, the new Socio-medical District in Bolzano (2016), MuVig – Virtual Museum of Garofalo in Canaro (2015) and the contest for the adaptive reuse of the ex-jail of Trabuccato in the Asinara island (2014).

The studio was awarded with the first prize at Festa dell'Architettura (Festival of Architecture) in Forlì Cesena (2015), winning in the category “best not executed project” with a project for the new Science Center in Naples.

Davide Olivieri taught Planning in the context of Catedra Blanca, at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Sevilla, between 2008 and 2012, then in 2014 was Professor at Master Pares at La Sapienza University of Rome. Since 2014 he is workshop coordinator at the Seminario Internazionale di Cultura Urbana at the University of Camerino.

Davide is carrying an international research project on, co-developed by the Planning Departments of the universities of Seville and Genoa, investigating on “Heritage, Renovation and Obsolence in Architecture and Urbanism”. He's deeply involved in reuse, especially of abandoned industrial buildings, as a strategy of regeneration of peri-urban spaces – certain of the need for a one-to-one relationship between the evolving city and the industrial heritage.
