City Index lab

City_Index constitutes an active group of architects which explores current issues on architecture and the production of space. Being within the networked paradigm, the group investigates the transformations of design practices, due to the technological advances on design processes and fabrication technics. It tries to rethink architecture, the city and their users, under the notions of sustainability and self-sufficiency as well as interaction and participation. City_Index aims to perform (architecture) within this new framework, characterized by intense communication, potential collaboration, high mobility but also recent precariousness and instability. City_Index members act as individual researchers as well as team members, approaching each design problem both in theory and praxis. Acknowledging the current interdisciplinarity of the architecture field or even the concept of ubiquity of design, City_Index remains open to new collaborations and synergies with people sharing similar reflections and visions.
