Modern living into a medieval urban matrix.

The aim of this project was to create a modern living space, into a volume and shape that completely integrates the old urban matrix.

There are five units: four "L" shaped and one more regular placed in between them, so as to create two equal non-communicating courtyards.

The apartments are located around the courtyard; the "extended space" of every internal room.

Its facade is designed using glass walls with a sliding panel system as an opening.

The external outlook of facades is clearly traditional and the residence seems as if it has long been part of the village.

The structure is made out of reinforced concrete and brick. The roof is wooden and is constructed so as to create an attic-like day living space.
