A natural lime mortar coating was applied to the entire complex, incorporating vegetable seeds that evokes the municipality's historical relationship with the landscape and agriculture. Natural stones, woods and noble metals complete the construction works, intensifying its public and noble character.

Refurbishment and Extension of the Town Hall of Fuentes de Andalucía. Seville. Spain
The town of Fuentes is located in the Sevillian countryside, right in the Guadalquivir Valley. Its cultural and monumental richness, stemming from so many settlements, is complemented by its picturesque landscape and its historical connection to agriculture. In its ancient main street, you will find its most representative public space, the Plaza de España, which once housed, among other things, the original Town Hall. In the 18th century, after its destruction in the Lisbon earthquake, a new neoclassical Town Hall was built according to the plans of the architect Ventura Rodríguez, modifying an initial proposal with a more Baroque taste by the local stonemasons Alonso Ruiz Florindo and Andrés de Carmona.
 
Through this proposal, the new organization of the Town Hall is solved by linking the historic building, dated from the 18th century, with a most recent extension of the local services building with a new one that frames the new public access by adjusting its different levels and the street.
 
Working on the historic building aim to preserve the sober and austere qualities of the structural and spatial solutions designed by Ventura Rodriguez. Old open access to the square remain restricted for public events, moving the new main and public access to the new building.
 
This new annexed building, open to a new inner void, is conceived as a link between the two existing buildings so that all the pieces may work fully integrated. This open space which has a public character acts as an extension of the narrow street on its ground floor. Meanwhile, the upper level is focused for administrative purposes and connects to those other parts of the building. Public visits to the new roofs are part of the local tradition of towers and viewpoints that rise in the town to enjoy the rich architecture and the surrounding landscape.

Rehabilitación y Ampliación del Ayuntamiento de Fuentes de Andalucía. Sevilla. España.
La villa de Fuentes se asienta en la campiña sevillana en pleno valle del Guadalquivir. A su riqueza cultural y monumental fruto de asentamientos de todas las épocas, se une la paisajística y su histórica relación con la agricultura. En su antigua calle Mayor se encuentra su espacio público más representativo, la Plaza de España, que alojó entre otras el primitivo Ayuntamiento. En el siglo XVIII y tras su ruina en el terremoto de Lisboa, un Consistorio de nueva traza neoclásica se levantó según proyecto del arquitecto madrileño Ventura Rodríguez, modificando una primera propuesta inicial de gusto más barroco de las alarifes fontaniegos Alonso Ruiz: Florinda y Andrés de Carmona.
 
La intervención resuelve la nueva organización del Consistorio uniendo el edificio histórico del siglo XVIII y la más reciente ampliación del edificio de servicios municipales con un nuevo volumen que enmarca el nuevo acceso público ajustando los acuerdos entre sus distintos niveles y la calle.
 
Los trabajos sobre el edificio histórico proyectado por Ventura Rodríguez tratan de recuperar el carácter sobrio y austero de las soluciones constructivas y espaciales de su momento de construcción, resolviendo las patologías constructivas que amenazaban su habitabilidad. El antiguo acceso abierto a la plaza queda con la intervención reservado a actos públicos señalados, desviando el nuevo acceso principal al edificio de nueva planta.
 
Este nuevo edificio, abierto a un nuevo espacio interior, se concibe como elemento de unión entre ambas edificaciones existentes de tal forma que el nuevo conjunto funcione totalmente integrado. Su planta baja, de carácter netamente pública se abre a este espacio libre que funciona como extensión de la propia calle. Mientras, el nivel superior funciona como espacio administrativo que se conecta en cada extremo con el resto de usos del edificio. La visita pública a las nuevas cubiertas se conecta con la tradición de torres y miradores del municipio que se elevan para disfrutar de la arquitectura señorial del entorno o de las vistas del paisaje circundante.
