Cañada 4546, is an urban dwelling woven in a preserve of the Puebla-Cholula border zone.
The commission by direct assignment -due to the deep and long-lasting friendship with the client- started with the search for a plot in a consolidated neighborhood

The executive project and construction of the work were then contracted, and so began the first test to form a work team, both at the desk and in the field: making a house means sculpting time with our own and other people's dreams, building the atmosphere of the place. This was our workshop TEA’s opera prima.

Two intersecting boxes as a compositional scheme solve the proposed needs;
a complete and habitable program on a single floor, and on another level a room with independent access. A future stage would consolidate the direct connection between these boxes from the interior. Discussions took place that marked the importance that the house could be used by 2 different inhabitants, or used for different purposes. These 2 loose boxes were separated from the plot’s limits allow for the flow of wind and light in order to guarantee the habitability and health of the house.

The ground floor introduces a garden as a welcome mat, the first scene of this spatial sequence which fuses with the garage made of hard washed concrete; this in turn connects to the glass, aluminum and steel entrance through a ramp, the house itself being lifted 1.5 m from the ground. From there one accesses the double-height living and dining rooms, a complete bathroom and the kitchen (the latter with an independent access to a service patio). Upstairs, a master bedroom, bathroom and a terrace are furnished with clay tiles.

145 m 2 of construction in 190 m2 land. It is now inhabited as a house-studio.
