KOT Architects has recently finished planning and designing a showroom and offices for the renowned global fashion brand, Dior. In a new office building, located on Yitzhak Sade Street in Tel Aviv, offers a 200 square meter space on the 18th floor in its bare architectural condition. The challenge was to transform the raw space into a modern and elegant environment that would reflect the values and sophistication of the Dior brand.

The program required the creation of a versatile event space that would include lectures, makeup tutorials, festive dinners, a modular display area, a video viewing space, a seating area, a kitchenette, a library, office space, and a product packaging room. The goal was to make the space feel like a luxurious penthouse apartment that would be both functional and aesthetically pleasing.

The initial space was one open space in the shape of an "L" and was divided into two wings. KOT Architects came up with the concept of creating a central area that would serve both the showroom space and offices. The central area was designed as a circular and intimate dining area, with a location based conceptual idea inspired by a stone thrown into the center of a lake and the resulting ripples that spread outwards. This concept was reflected in the architectural design, from the details of the carpentry to the lighting fixtures and the flooring.

The circular seating in the dining area was designed to be partially a bench made of woodwork and partially chairs. The back of the bench serves as an arched library, with shelves and vertical partitions made of light birch wood. The library showcases art books, fashion details, beauty products, and home accessories, while also serving as a display element and an architectural element that separates the modular display space and the office area while still allowing for eye contact and views between the two spaces.

The showroom area, designed as a versatile space, is defined by three key elements. The seating terraces, located on different levels, offer comfortable seating options for lectures, training sessions, movie viewing, or just relaxation. A wooden parquet "island" with a circular diameter of 4 meters is separated from the concrete floor by a brass-oxide peripheral disconnection profile, which serves to delimit the seating area and create a sense of coziness. A seating system, consisting of couches, armchairs, and similar stools, is placed on the parquet island, and in the center, there is a 30 cm high square coffee table design by the studio made of white travertine stone.

The whole atmosphere is completed by the third element - a 5-meter-long oval-shaped ceiling light fixture made of a stretched vinyl ceiling. The famous Dior “cannage” pattern is printed on it, adding a touch of brand recognition and elegance to the space. The central space can change its character depending on the need for use, sometimes serving as a formal living room, sometimes a classroom with study chairs, sometimes a restaurant with dining tables, sometimes a space for art exhibitions, sometimes a cinema space, and more, always accompanied by the skyline and the urban landscape of the city of Tel Aviv in the background.

The color palette for this project is neutral, including off-white, pure white, beige, and brass tones, with bright wood accents. The materials used in the project include white travertine stone, polished white marble, raw concrete, and natural birch wood. These materials work together to create a clean and sophisticated look that perfectly complements the neutral color scheme.

Our studio has skillfully transformed an raw space into a luxurious and functional showroom that truly embodies the values and elegance of the Dior brand. The use of sophisticated materials and neutral color tones demonstrates our attention to detail, resulting in a stunning environment that is both practical and visually appealing.
