HOTEL BOULEVARD ALIADOS | DING DONG

The Editory Boulevard Hotel Porto, is a 70 room five-star hotel with more than 4100 square meters located in the heart of Porto. The Hotel Architectural Project upsurges from the connection of two pre-existing buildings, one in Avenida dos Aliados and the other on Rua do Almada.

These streets – two of the most well-known and iconic in the city – have very different vibes:
Aliados being the most magnificent boulevard in Porto with mainly tourist and institutional use, where luxury stores occupy the magnificent buildings that draw the avenue.
Rua do Almada, a very vibrant street, filled with local restaurants and bars, that maintain a very authentic vibe.

The aim was to create a building that could link these two very distinct areas of the city, appealing to both tourists and locals.

The drive to create this path between the two streets resulted in a will to design an oasis in the heart of the city, almost like a surprise, a breath of fresh air in this very densely constructed area.
The Architectural project respects the history of the building, while infusing it with a bit of irreverence, a characteristic of Ding Dong’s work.
