TB apartment, arranged on two floors and part of a historic multi-family building, is located in the southern area of ​​the municipality of Ton. The accommodation overlooks a private garden and dominates the southern area of ​​the Val di Non.

The custom-made furniture project entails, on the ground floor, the living area and the garden, on the first floor the sleeping area, the study and the private living room of the apartment, as well as the spiral staircase connecting the two levels. In the private living room, dominated by the red Verona marble fireplace with the Thun family crest, the walkways of the castles inspired the creation of a stage: this raised floor level was created to integrate the spiral staircase, and at the same time theatralizes the ancient family furnishings. Furthermore, the raised floor, which can also function as a bench, allows you to enjoy, from an even higher position, the relaxing and suggestive view of the garden and the landscape. On the ground floor, a further rise integrates the sofa in the TV area with the staircase leading to the first floor.

The design enhances the spatial characteristics of the accommodation and its history: the vaults on the ground floor, the high ceilings with wooden beams and the imposing marble fireplace on the first floor, the large windows and French windows of the living area which frame the garden. The finish of the furnishings, a deep dark gray, evokes the colour of the parts blackened by the fires, discovered during the restoration phase. The lacquer is applied to the custom-made wooden furniture, to the resin-coated spiral staircase, and to the fabrics of the sofas and beds, contrasting with the light gray of the Venetian terrazzo flooring. The dark wood of the restored original beams, fixtures and furnishings is paired up with Ton's dining table and chairs (!), thus creating an integration between historical and contemporary elements. An iconic piece of the design history is placed near the gray lacquered kitchen island which has a thin top made of the same Venetian terrazzo of the floor.

The fireplace on the first floor acts as a visual fulcrum of the private living room, which serves as a conversation and connecting space for the various bedrooms, inspiring a sense of welcome and warmth. In the sleeping area, dark gray lacquered wood is still present on the walls and fabrics, warming the rooms and giving them a full feeling of relaxation. In the bathrooms the Venetian terrazzo is used for the floor and in the showers, whilst the enamel is used for the walls.

The lighting project sees the use of a few LED track lighting fixtures, aligned narrowly with the beams. This fixtures wash the ceiling and give the spaces a suggestive and abstract atmosphere. The project is completed with the use of LED spotlights, which are able to improve the brightness of the space in the evening and at night. Above the dining table and the island, impressive glass chandeliers draw the visitors' attention to the heart of family life. On the first floor in the living room, heated by the fireplace, stands a beautiful eighteenth-century lantern, a model historically suitable for this rural residence that dominates from above, today as it did then, a valley rich in culture.

L'appartamento TB disposto su due piani e facente parte di un edificio plurifamiliare storico, si trova nella zona sud del comune di Ton. L'alloggio affaccia su di un giardino privato e domina la zona sud della Val di Non.

Il progetto di arredo su misura riguarda, a piano terra, la zona giorno e il giardino, a piano primo la zona notte, lo studio e il soggiorno privato dell'appartamento, oltre alla scala a chiocciola di collegamento tra i due livelli. Nel soggiorno privato, dominato dal camino in marmo rosso di Verona con lo stemma della famiglia Thun, i camminamenti di ronda dei castelli hanno ispirato la realizzazione di un palco: questo rialzo del livello del pavimento nasce per integrare la scala a chiocciola, e al tempo stesso teatralizza gli antichi arredi di famiglia. Inoltre il rialzo del pavimento che può acquisire la funzione di panca, permette di godere, da una posizione ancora più elevata, della vista rilassante e suggestiva del giardino e del paesaggio. A piano terra, un ulteriore rialzo integra il divano della zona tv con la scala che conduce al primo piano.

La progettazione valorizza le caratteristiche spaziali dell'alloggio e la sua storia: le volte del piano terra, gli alti soffitti con travi in legno e l'imponente camino in marmo al primo piano, le ampie finestre e porte finestre della zona giorno fanno da cornice al giardino. La finitura degli arredi, un profondo grigio scuro, vuole evocare il colore delle parti annerite dagli incendi, scoperte in fase di restauro. La laccatura si stende sui mobili su misura, in legno, sulla scala a chiocciola rivestita in resina, e sui tessuti dei divani e dei letti, contrastando con il grigio chiaro del pavimento in terrazzo alla veneziana. Il legno scuro delle travi, degli infissi e degli arredi originali restaurati è affiancato al tavolo da pranzo e alle sedie di Ton (!), in tal modo si crea una integrazione tra elementi storici e contemporanei. Un pezzo iconico della storia del design è sistemato nell'isola della cucina laccata grigia che ha un sottile piano dello stesso terrazzo alla veneziana del pavimento.

Il camino del piano primo funge da fulcro visivo del soggiorno privato, che ha la funzione di spazio conversazione e di disbrigo delle varie camere da letto, ispirando un senso di accoglienza e calore. Nella zona notte il legno laccato grigio scuro è ancora presente sulle pareti ed i tessuti, scaldando gli ambienti e conferendo loro una piena sensazione di relax. Nei bagni è utilizzato il terrazzo alla veneziana a pavimento e nelle docce, mentre sulle pareti è steso lo smalto.

Per quanto riguardo il progetto di illuminazione, esso vede l'utilizzo di pochi corpi illuminanti in linea a LED, allineati al filo delle travi, che lavano le stesse e conferiscono agli spazi un'atmosfera suggestiva, e astratta. A questi si affiancano i faretti a LED, che sono in grado di migliorare la luminosità dello spazio nelle ore serali e notturne. Sul tavolo da pranzo e sull'isola, un lampadari di grande effetto in vetro, attirano l'attenzione dei visitatori verso il fulcro della vita famigliare. Nel soggiorno a primo piano, riscaldato dal camino, campeggia una bellissima lanterna settecentesca, un modello storicamente adatto a questa dimora rurale che domina dall'alto, oggi come allora, una valle ricca di cultura.
