RØST MILANO | Vudafieri Saverino Partners

Il ristorante Røst, nel quartiere di Porta Venezia, porta sulla scena milanese un concetto di cucina circolare. Sviluppato su 65 metri quadrati, il locale è pensato come un luogo raccolto, tra tradizione e modernità. I toni sono caldi, dominati dal colore rosso “Marsala”, che rimanda al rapporto fondamentale con il vino e la terra. L’uso della materia è attento e limitato, ridotto a poche tipologie di base (calce, ottone, rovere) quasi fossero gli ingredienti di una ricetta in menù.

Il tema dell’arredo è caratterizzato dalla milanesità: materiali nobili come marmo, ottone, velluto e pelle caratterizzano senza sfarzo l’ambiente, in contrasto con i muri in calce e il pavimento.
Il banco bar si distingue per il lungo top in rovere massello e il rivestimento verticale, composto da profili di ottone naturale a sezione diversa. Legno e ottone sono materie in divenire, che mutano in relazione all’uso e al passare del tempo, in un percorso costante che ben rappresenta i valori di Røst. 

Il valore delle preesistenze è testimoniato dalla scelta di conservare il pavimento originale, un seminato in tozzetti di porfido. Temi cari a Vudafieri-Saverino Partners, la continuità con il passato e il rapporto con le memorie, che trovano inedita espressione nel lampadario della saletta, disegnato da Tiziano Vudafieri. Realizzato assemblando nel diffusore fanali di vetture di diverse epoche, rappresenta un omaggio alla storia del negozio di ricambi d’auto che da sempre abitava lo spazio. 

The Røst restaurant, located in the Milanese new food district of Porta Venezia neighborhood, is a brand new restaurant that brings to Milan the concept of circular cuisine. Developed over 65 square metres, the restaurant is conceived as a cozy place, between tradition and modernity. The tones are warm, dominated by "Marsala" red, a colour that harks back to the fundamental relationship with wine and land. The use of material is reduced to just a few basic types (lime, brass, oak) as if they were the ingredients of a recipe on the menu. 

The décor comes in Milanese style: noble materials like marble, brass, velvet and leather unostentatiously characterise the setting, in contrast with the lime walls and the floor. The bar counter stands out for its long solid oak top and the vertical covering, made up of natural brass profiles of different section. Wood and brass are developing materials, which change with use and the passage of time, in a constant path that clearly represents Røst values. 

The continuity with the past and the relationship with memories, values that are dear to Vudafieri-Saverino Partners, can be seen in the decision to preserve the original seminato in porphyry floor. The chandelier in the smaller room, designed by Tiziano Vudafieri, assembling headlamps of cars of different ages, is a tribute to the history of the car parts shop that previously occupied the space.
