The restaurant Pizzaria Lisboa is located in the old town of Lisbon in Chiado. The Chef José Avillez who already has different restaurants in Lisbon where he explores Portuguese gastronomy, came with us with the idea of opening a Pizzeria inspired by the city of Lisbon. We therefore decided to invite Portuguese designers to collaborate with us in this project.
We wanted to have a tiles' panel inspired by the Portuguese modernist tiles from the 50s and invited Rita Ferrão to design with us some patterns for one of the walls of the restaurant.
We also had in mind typical Portuguese tabernas and therefore chose a pink floor of cement tiles and designed tables with national white marble to evoke the traditional "tascas".
We chose wooden chairs by Portuguese designers Branca Lisboa, bar stools by designer Gonçalo Prudêncio and invited Inês Moura to design with usa a sideboard made of oak and marble.
