Felipa Almeida, Lisbon, 1979. Lives and works in Lisbon. Graduated in History of Art at University College of London (UCL) in 2002 and followed a Crash Course in Curating at Central Saint Martin’s School of Art. In 2008/2009 she attended the post graduation in Curatorial Studies of FBAUL/Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon. She wrote articles about Contemporary Art for the magazines Sur La Terre, Helvetissimo and L+Arte between 2003 and 2007. From 2002 to 2004 she worked at the Cosmic Gallery in Paris and in the Studio of the artist Yi Zhou. She moved to Lisbon in 2006 and in 2007 co-founded the cultural association PuppenHaus with Christina Bravo and Joana Astolfi. In 2009 they curated the exhibition “The Beauty of Mistake” and in 2010,“Water Closet”, both at Lx Factory in Lisbon. She is part of the Curator Collective since 2010 with whom she created the website www.projectomap.net, a map of artists in Portugal.
