This project is a renovation of former farmhouse into a priviate detached house of 1800 sm built on a site of 3000 sm in a neighbourhood of Padova (Veneto, IT). The philosophy behind the strategy used for this project implies a limited range of interventions on the existing main structure, limiting additions and demolitions to the minimum. The former porch area has been transformed into living-dinning room while the openings facing south have been redefined trough a series of French windows, which grant a beautiful view of the garden. The tool-shelter has been redesigned to house the kitchen, a closet and a pantry. Just two walls have been added to the existing ones at the first floor, where the former barn was located, in order to divide bedrooms with respective restrooms and the wardrobe from the rest of the building. The former stall has been reorganised into owner’s private studio.
