BASF's HANDS | Alessandro Marini
Project of "E100 TripleZero®", prof. Werner Sobek, Stuttgart Universität Ludwigshafen am Rhein / Germany / 2014
1
The purpose of the course is the project of a new sustainable highrise for the chemical company BASF. The society has its headquarter in Ludwigshafen. Here the old Highrise "Friedrich-Engelhorn-Hochhaus" symbol of the city (it was been the tallest german building in 1957, when it was born) must be substituted because of the high costs of renovation. After the demolition BASF is launching a contest for the new highrise.
In the context of this course, the new building must respect the "TripleZero®" standards, according to the Professor Sobek's theory: Zero energy, Zero emissions and Zero waste.
