He was born in 1964 and, after having studied architecture, he opened an agency in Milan specialising in interior design, visual communication and industrial design. In 1988 he received a honourable mention at the World Design Library in Tokyo for his design of a new household appliance; in 1994 he received the Honourable mention at the design competition Waterlily European Award at Cologne for his drawing of a series of padded items and in 1997 he received the Honourable mention during the competition Office Design Competition for his design of a new component for the office equipment within the Furniture Show in Milan. He is not only a designer but also a journalist for the magazine Costruire for which he wrote a column for eight years. He was responsible for several publications in the architecture and design sectors, such as the volume for the architecture competition concerning the project “Garibaldi Repubblica a Milano” and the book “Parola di Designer”. From 1997 to 2002 he provided his advice in the United States where he designed the interiors of several villas in Florida, Colorado, Michigan, North Carolina as well as the fitting of the exhibition "A palette for sense" at the Orlando museum. In Italy, in addition to house building, restaurants and shops, he worked at the fitting for the exhibition The Art of Miles Davis at Umbria Jazz and several stands for the Furniture Show. In 2002 he established the Paolo Frello & Partners, a company that provides planning solutions both for the house and tertiary sectors with advices and partnerships able to meet all the needs within the building process. Paolo Frello & Partners planned and worked not only in the States and in Italy, but also in France, Spain, Belgium and United Kingdom.
