Matteo Bianchi is a designer with an education in Industrial Design at the European Institute of Milan. He started very early creating objects for the advertising world, confronting himself with the most diverse materials and different production technologies, from the artisanal to the more structured ones. He learned from various artisans how to create and design objects in precious materials like silver and gold, in plastic materials such as plexiglass and abs or in natural essences such as wood and leather. Initially he focused on metals and in particular on special aluminum alloys that captured him by their innumerable chromatic variations occurring due to anodization; from these experiences will come a series of table objects with a decidedly modern line. His work quickly put him on the spotlight, so much that the “Ottagono” magazine selects him among the most interesting young designers for the "Modern author" award where he presented himself with the avant-garde "Flexal" letter opener and the "Fluon" credit card holder. Then he began the collaboration with the studio "Oggettario" in Milan for which he created objects dedicated to the advertising sector, developing Industrial Design solutions for major brands such as Olivetti, Vodafone, Medtronic, Abbott Vascular, Banca Generali, Carestream Health, Bestwestern, Jt International , Schroders, Eni Corporate University, Gaggia, Sigma Aldrich and many others. If it is true that every project is born from an intuition, it is equally true that transforming that idea into something concrete requires a work of meticulous attention and obsessive perfectionism, finally arriving, after a long study, to the creation of a concrete object. A new object must be built on a solid principle of novelty before being a mere exercise of form. Patents of utility and invention testify his continuous search for the non-existent, the unconventional, because it is in the unexpected that the emotion of the creative process lurks. Matteo lives among the green of the Varese lake and works in Milan.
