Tzou Lubroth Architekten is an award-winning architectural practice based in Vienna, Austria. Our practice is built on the belief that architecture is a social act, part of a process by which desires are materialized causing environments to change. We believe that architecture only gains relevance through an open dialog. Each of our projects is influenced by the qualities of individual places and by the people that inhabit them. While the outcome of our work may vary widely in shape or form, our design process remains sensitive to a context and to the desires that promise to change it.

We are interested in people and their communities. Understanding and questioning how we work, play, rest, consume, and coexist is at the heart of our design process.

We are committed to the idea that design can inspire; that it can enrich our lives and affect the way we interact with the world around us.

Our projects are the result of the communication that brought them into being: the thinking and talking, the tinkering and drawing. While we value an idea for its clarity, we know that such clarity often depends on playful experimentation. Our work hopes to instill an awareness of place and a sense of curiosity about the spaces that we inhabit.
