Danshen Dong, was born in Shanghai in 1963, whose ancestral home is Xiangshan, Zhejiang province. He pursued study in Civil Engineering Department of Zhejiang University in 1981 and transferred to architecture major the next year. In 1986, he graduated and stayed at the university as a teacher. He served as director of architectural design and theoretical research department, and won the award of outstanding young teachers of Zhejiang University and was excellent provincial party committee membe
