Graduated at the Facoltà di Architettura of Reggio Calabria, Italy in 1995. He worked with Bruno Isgrò’s architect, before joining the Post-graduate Design course at the Architectural Association in London held by Jeffry Kipnis and Barham Shirdel.
He is registered at the Association of the Architects of Messina from 1996 and associated at the National Institute of Bioarchitettura.
He has exhibited urban future organization’s work in many cities: Rome, Brasilia, Beijing, Prague, Copenhagen, Venice, Florence, Milan, Palermo, Agrigento, Selinunte and published ufo’s work in various architectural reviews including the il Progetto, Casabella, l’Arca and Vogue Italia.
In 2005 he got the gold medal for Europe Holcim Award and in 2006 the silver medal for the Global Holcim Award with the Amalfi water power project.
In 2006 he won the Mohd Award as best architect in Messina.
In 2007 he got the Vaccarini Award for the best project of the year in Sicily and in 2008 the same award for the best interior design project.
Two sicilian projects, casa nicola in 2007 and lemon factory in 2011, have been candidate to Mies Van der Rohe Award. Lemon factory has also been exibited in the italian pavillion of the XII Biennale di Architettura of Venice and got the In/Arch award as best contemporary project in Sicily.
In 1999 ufo won the Sarajevo National Concert Hall
In 2012 ufo won the international design competition for the new waterfront and polycentre of Messina.
In 2012 ufo won the international design competition for the new waterfront and polycentre of Messina and in the 2014 the Super City to Shenzen, China.
In 2020 ufo won the international design competition for the visitors centre of the archeological park of Tindari.

Currently he is actively developing the office’s portfolio in Italy.
