A blank sheet of paper and a pencil in hand... it's something that doesn't scare me, quite the opposite.

I've always enjoyed drawing. I have no idea where I inherited this taste from, as far as I know, no one in my family had it, at least no one I know. The same cannot be said for my daughter (my greatest treasure) who seems to have inherited the same taste from her father.
I remember when I was still in primary school, whenever I had to do homework, I always drew a picture at the end of it. Of course, I did the homework (today's equivalent of TPC) more or less in a hurry, so that I could have more time for my drawings! I must confess that this "hurry" earned me some good ear tugs. But even so, I continued in the same vein.

Later on, in preparatory school, having visual education classes was a real pleasure for me. I liked it so much that my teacher allowed me to attend classes from other classes whenever I had free time. I made posters for the school and other works (I think they took advantage of me).

I've always been a pretty "creative" (or bored...) kid... from dismantling all kinds of toys to then rebuilding them my way, to making clothes for my sister's dolls, I did a bit of everything. A versatile artist. Even the dogs and cats we always had at home served as guinea pigs to test the little houses I tried to make for them. In truth, I never had great success, but even so my 4-legged friends liked me very much. And I liked them.

Just so you know, I still love animals very much, we have a dog and a cat at home, Kikas and Peúgas. It was just an aside.
Continuing...
My connection to furniture, so to speak, comes from my family. My father has always been a carpenter (now retired), as has my grandfather. I started working very young, in the carpentry where my father worked, during my summer vacations. I still remember when I made my first piece of furniture from start to finish. For a moment, I was the happiest boy in the world. It was no wonder, after all, I had "created" something with my own hands that someone would use.

So I continued, connected to the furniture industry, working for various companies, performing various roles, with many courses and training in between, for over 30 years.

In the last company where I worked for 20 years, I held positions as industrial, technical and creative director. I had the rare opportunity to develop and produce many of my creations. I will be forever grateful for the trust placed in me.

Knowing that thousands of families in Portugal and other countries have in their homes mobiles created and developed by me, along with the team I led for years, is something that truly fills my heart.

Now, already very close to 50, I will continue to create and develop. I still want to make many families happy.
