Apartment on the bank of the Douro River in Gaia

We are excited to share with you the amazing result of our latest interior remodeling project! This time, we had the opportunity to transform a charming one-bedroom apartment, located on the top floor of a historic building in Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal, right on the banks of the majestic Douro River.

Preserving the essence of the past, we kept all the wooden ceiling structure, which adds a cozy atmosphere and a hint of nostalgia to the environment. The original floor will be carefully restored, bringing back its unique charm.

To bring life and personality to this space, we opted for shades of dry green that became the protagonists of the walls. The combination of dry green walls with light oak woods resulted in a perfect harmony, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

In addition, we decided to add boiserie to the walls, providing a classic and refined touch to the environment. These elegant details further enhance the wooden ceiling, which was skillfully highlighted with strategic lighting, also serving as a soft source of indirect light.

To ensure more privacy, we created a partition with sliding doors that lead to the bedroom. This way, we were able to preserve the fluidity of space and at the same time a reserved and intimate environment.

The kitchen, carefully designed, features furniture that meets all the needs of daily life. Whether for cooking, sharing meals or enjoying special moments.

And to top it off, the bathroom received soft tones of sand, combined with textures of worn concrete, providing a relaxing and contemporary environment.

We are very proud of the result achieved in this remodeling project. Every detail was thoughtfully and lovingly considered, transforming this one-bedroom apartment into a true refuge on the banks of the Douro River.
