Yun Wai Wing
Wing is a Director at Spark Architects based in Singapore. At Spark, Wing leads large scale mixed use projects, master plans, and urban regeneration projects. He is also the project leader of several winning schemes in invited international competitions, including a 200,000 sqm waterfront landmark development in central Ho Chi Minh City, a 1.2 million sqm waterfront regeneration development in Guangzhou, a 85,000 sqm waterfront landmark development along the Pearl River, and the master planning and architectural design of an island regeneration project in Suzhou.
In 2014, Wing led Spark’s self-initiated research project, Home Farm, a widely published retirement housing proposal, and a category award winner at World Architecture Festival 2015. In 2017, Home Farm was presented in the residential seminar in RIBA International Week in London.
Before relocating to Singapore and joining Spark Architects in 2013, Wing worked at MVRDV's Rotterdam office and Edge Design Institute in Hong Kong.
Wing received MSc in Architecture from TU Delft in 2010 (fully sponsored by Sir Edward Youde Memorial Fellowship for Overseas Studies), BSSc in Architectural studies (1st class hons) in 2007, and in Sociology in 2002 from CUHK. Wing has given lectures in various occasions in South East Asia region.
