Vicki Leach
Vicki Leach is a Manx designer based in Bristol and the Design Manager for Deadgood. Her practice focuses on the research, design and development of furniture, product and lighting.
Her vision is to produce sustainable designs for leading manufacturers that last a lifetime and more. With a passion for creating experiences through objects, her creative process is collaborative and explores narrative and meaning. In turn, these principle ideas aim to build emotional connections with users as well as brand trust.
Her areas of expertise are research, design and development. As well as developing Deadgood Studio in house designs, she liaises with designers and suppliers to produce exciting new and existing collections.
Her experience in sales, supply chain, logistics, marketing and administration, benefits even the most challenging of commercial projects and this understanding has lead to her products being featured in Better Extreme, Sage offices and The Sunday Times.
Born in the Isle of Man, Vicki has completed a BA in Product Design and Digital Modelling at Liverpool John Moores University and an MA in Furniture Design at the Sir John Cass School of Art and Design, London. She is also keen to develop the skills of the next generation of designers and runs workshops and guest lectures at UWE Bristol. She established her own creative studio in 2014.
