TODD VERWERS
Todd Verwers AIA MAA is an award-winning Danish-American architect. Educated in the United States and the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, his decidedly Scandinavian approach to design is characterized by timeless simplicity, refined elegance, and careful refinement of detail.

With over 30 years of international practice, Todd has extensive international experience over a broad range of project types. His portfolio of work, much of which has been published widely in international journals and books, is often associated with the subtle aesthetic qualities of modern Japanese and Danish minimalism.

In his former capacity of adjunct professor at the California College of the Arts in San Francisco, Todd lectured widely on the work of Danish minimalist architect Arne Jacobsen, in whose successor firm he was employed for nine years. He is also inspired by the work of architects Mies van der Rohe, Tadao Ando, Luis Barragan, Richard Neutra, and John Pawson. Early commissions included various residential remodeling and addition projects for European and American clients. Subsequent projects have spanned from custom homes to a variety of office and retail commissions. In collaboration with other architects, Todd has also developed large-scale cultural, institutional, commercial, and infrastructure projects around the globe.

In direct collaboration with residential and commercial clients, TODD VERWERS ARCHITECTS INC. provides full architectural services from conceptual design through public permitting and construction, while adding functional, aesthetic and financial value to their clients' projects, and exceeding client expectations.
