Scavolini has been producing kitchens for over 50 years. Vast experience built up over time, responding to the tastes and trends of almost three generations of consumers. From a small workshop the company has grown to major industrial status, pursuing its growth aims through all the necessary stages with toughness and determination with absolute respect for the public at large, and in harmony with the needs of its surrounding area.

Its history - a crescendo of initiatives reflecting its ability to adapt innovatively to changes in taste, lifestyle and the market and the advent of each wave of new technologies - is a striking example of corporate growth, nowadays taken as the benchmark model for the entire industry.

Italy's top kitchen brand for more than thirty years

Initially a small workshop, Scavolini launches its business in Pesaro in 1961 with a small range of fitted kitchens, which immediately prove very popular. This is the start of the great adventure of the brothers Valter and Elvino Scavolini who, encouraged by their initial success, expand their premises and make innovations that help their business to grow quickly.

In 1984 Scavolini wins the leading position on the domestic market and becomes, in everyone's eyes, "la cucina più amata dagli italiani", Italy's favourite kitchen. While output reaches new peaks, during these years the company's image and brand achieve strong credibility: with an ambitious advertising campaign, the establishment of the Scavolini Foundation, and the sponsorship of the Rossini Opera Festival.

In 1996, it is amongst the first firms in Italy to receive the most important award of all: UNI EN ISO 9001 Quality System Certification. Scavolini also feels the need to be “first” in environmental protection, in helping safeguard the territorial context. And this is a desire that has resulted in its Environmental Management System project, which late 2004 was recognised with the prestigious UNI EN ISO 14001 certification and has now become an Integrated Quality and the Environment System project.


In 2008, Scavolini further extended its route, becoming the first business of its sector in Italy to obtain OHSAS 18001:2007 certification for its Management of Health and Safety at Work. In 2012, Scavolini presents "Scavolini Bathrooms", complete innovation for the market: a new brand starring the bathroom and comprising a programme of complete ambiances, which is extremely articulated in its composition variety, featuring the latest dictates of lifestyle and wellness.

DESIGN: is the basis for offering top product quality. Each new model and element, before being put into production, undergoes a complex and careful design and industrialisation process. Important stages in this process include, amongst others, the design verification phase, carried out mainly through laboratory tests.

PRODUCTION: the organisation of production and logistics are essential to guarantee precision, punctuality and efficiency. Always at the forefront in the use of new technology systems and machinery, we choose equipment that guarantees speed, but above all precision.

SUPPLIERS: our suppliers of materials and semi-finished products play a fundamental role. In order to ensure that our suppliers meet all the necessary requirements, Scavolini adheres to a meticulous selection and evaluation process, based on direct visits, the completion of specific questionnaires, testing materials, certifications and more. These suppliers are then subjected to continuous monitoring to ensure the maintenance of quality standards.

TRAINING: A company comprises above all of people. This means that careful selection of our personnel, and an ongoing training process become fundamental, providing the best support to allow us to operate in an effective and precise way.

CHECKING AND TESTING: we have built an internal system of checks at different levels, with the aim of minimising the risk of any errors or product defects reaching our customers.
Numerous checks take place, upon taking delivery of materials from the suppliers, during the various production phases and on the finished product, before shipment. In addition to the above checks, we constantly perform laboratory tests in order to verify the performance characteristics of materials and products. These tests, mostly dictated by specific technical standards, are performed both in our own internal laboratory (Quality Lab) and by external facilities (Cosmob).
