ArCONNECT = Architecture +Connect, the work of an architect is not to perfect things in isolation, but to deal with the "between" relationship between people and everything.
Founded by architect Wu Zhou in Dali, Yunnan Province, Between Architecture is a design firm rooted in Southwest China that explores local architectural practices, breaking down traditional professional boundaries between architecture, landscape and interior, and integrating design from the perspective of people's holistic experience in a place.
Architecture does not exist in isolation; every building is in a "mesh of relationships" in a specific world. We do not agree with architects' preconceived personal performances, but try to deeply understand the complex mesh relationship behind each project, face the real needs of the project, listen to the inner call of the site, explore the advantageous resources of the project, and creatively establish new "connections" on this basis: the connection between the building and the place, the connection between the lifestyle and the place, the connection between human and nature, the connection between human and the place, the connection between human and nature. On the basis of this, we will creatively establish new "connections": the connection between architecture and place, the connection between lifestyle and place, the connection between human and nature, the connection between inside and outside the building, and the connection between human and the inner world.
