Our work is rooted in the southeastern of France. We like to confront it through the intermediary of the project, as a concrete tool for improving and embellishing the living environment of all its inhabitants. Acting on this often harsh Mediterranean territory means trying to transform it, generously and sustainably, with few resources. Our job is to pass on the culture of the project in small steps to those involved, patiently making them aware of its inventive potential to frugally respond to the major ecological and social challenges, whatever the program and scale of intervention are. We pay as much attention to the project process as to the finished object itself. We refuse any involvement that would see us absent from the construction site. We indeed consider it to be a key design phase. In situ and on scale 1, it enables us to continue to nurture the project right up to delivery, thanks to the exchange of knowledge we can maintain with the various professions.

Aware of the ecological impact of the building industry, we primarily focus on the repair and transformation of the built heritage, limiting the use of industrialized finishing elements and technical equipment that are not enough durable, costly in terms of investment and maintenance, and far too energy-intensive. As for the materials used, we consider that each should be used wisely, according to their intrinsic characteristics, in particular concerning energy, the constraints of the building site and the location of each project. Considering each place of action as a legacy of history, our architecture also makes a large place for the narrative that the territories of intervention carry, and which is concretely translated by a typology and a specific constructive thought and sometimes, a singular ornamentation.
