Founded in 2008 by architect Martin Huberman, Estudio Normal is an architecture and design office based in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The studio pursues research as a creative language, space as a sensible mediator between the individual and the imaginary, industry as the emotional core of popular culture and discipline as catalyst of context. Normal’s body of work entails an exhaustive exploration of materials and cultural contexts by developing new formal languages that perform as critical scenarios of our everyday culture.The studio ́s experimental structures and buildings have showcased among other subjects the relationship between the informal and the built environment, the hidden creativity embedded in the knock off industry and the relationship between emotional memory and space.
Objects and installations designed and produced by Estudio Normal have been exhibited internationally at different cultural venues such as, the Kunstmuseum in Bern, Tabacalera and Matadero in Madrid, the Museo MAR in Buenos Aires, the Salone del Mobile in Milan, Designer Days Exhibition in Paris, and the Buenos Aires Design Festival.
