The Consortium of Italian Manufacturers of Quality Mattresses was born in 1988. It is a non-profit consortium that brings together some of the most qualified companies in the sector. The Consortium companies share a strong orientation towards quality and a transparency policy. Synthesis of the Consortium's activity is the Collective Quality Mark, a logo registered internationally, which proves the quality of the mattresses produced. For a good sleeping and a better living it needs a quality mattress. Therefore, promoting quality mattresses means disseminating and supporting the culture of good sleeping at all levels: this is the mission of the Consortium. The Consortium works as an institutional interface between Consortium member companies, consumers and points of sale, having an open and constant dialogue with these interlocutors. Towards consumers, it acts as a disseminator of scientific and technical information helping them choosing a quality product that is also the most suitable for their "style" of sleeping. For the points of sale, it acts as a support for correct and exhaustive communication and training, and for the promotion of quality.

The Consortium activities

In accordance with its mission, the Consortium carries out three types of activities, interacting with all its partners (sector operators, offline and online newspapers, social media, organizations or institutions):
- Communication
The communication to consumers on topics related to sleep, has the purpose to give them an increasing awareness in order make choices targeted on their needs. This activity is also supported by the website and a series of guides, that analyze the correct rest in all its peculiarities, from the technical product information of the sleeping systems, to the support during the purchase, up to the precious advice of doctors for a healthy lifestyle.
- Research
The Consortium also carries out an important research action, the results of which are made available to the member companies, so that they can constantly improve the quality of their products. Important collaborations take place with universities, hospitals, undergraduate university students, accredited technical laboratories of the wood-furniture sector. Furthermore, the Consortium has always been attentive to both product and raw materials certifications, lookibng for the most innovative solutions and the development of new products with an eye to environmental protection, collaborating with accredited laboratories and national bodies, if necessary.
- Promotion
The qualified point of sale is the partner with whom the Consortium has been able to promote a "quality product for quality sleep" during all these years. This is why many of the institutional initiatives aimed at supporting both the quality product and the information and education activities for the final consumer, have been dedicated to him. Within the qualified store, the consumer has always been able to find an area dedicated to topics related to sleep in order to be able to consciously choose the sleep systems more suitable for him. The Consortium is currently represented in over 2,000 points of sale in Italy. The Consortium systematically addresses all of them with on-line newsletters, in order to communicate in real time, and periodically with communication campaigns in specialized magazines and on social media, often integrated with actions to the consumer.
