Galbusera

Galbusera Giancarlo & Giorgio, located at the foot of the Lombard Prealps on the shores of Lake Como, is the oldest Italian producer of architectural ironmongery. Our company has been established in 1925. All products are manufactured and finished in our factories in Italy with using of traditional handicraft methods combined with modern production technologies. We are the only one architectural hardware producer to offer 13 different handicraft finishses. Widest choice of ironmongery items from rustic and classic ranges is able to satisfy any request.

The history of Galbusera

In 1925 Domenico Colombo, the great-uncle of the present owners of Galbusera, founded a small handicraft workshop for the processing of wrought iron in Malgrate next to lake Como, in the north of Italy. In 1961 Giancarlo Galbusera, with the help of his brother Giacinto and under the skilled guidance of his uncle, transformed the small workshop into an artisan company and due to the increasing market demand moved the production to Valmadrera, where it is still based. After taking part in the first international trade fairs Galbusera brand becomes famous and due to the continious production growth new site in Civate  is opened. After Giancarlo passed away in 2004, control of the company was handed to his sons Giorgio and Domenico and his daughter Donatella who continue the production of artistic hardware items for interior and garden uses in wrought and forged iron.

Great care is taking from every point of view: from the selection and purchase of raw materials to the packing, which is all done in its own sites. The main part of the production is still carried out with the use using of trusted handicraft methods which allow the creation of unique products of the highest quality.
