Lumir is a lighting brand resolving light poverty and imparting the beauty of light.
We had realized that 1billion people around the world still live without light, and that was the reason we started Lumir to find a solution with our technology.
We, Lumir, want to keep up to promulgate our value and the amazement to the people through light.
Lumir stands for “Light up the world” by combining ‘Lumi’, meaning the light and ‘Mir’, meaning the world.
Lumir presents the beauty of light with designer lightings while expands the social impact sustainably. Lumir K, the cooking oil lamp was launched in 2018, and it is being distributed and launched a pilot sale in the Kalimantan, Indonesia.
Including the province, around 4,300 people (as of Dec. 2018) are using Lumir K. With this product, they have been not only able to get brighter light but also spend less for the fuel and take nighttime activities to earn more disposable incomes.
Furthermore, since it produces lower hazardous substances, indoor air pollution has been decreased. Thanks to these reasons, the quality of life is substantially improved.
Currently, Lumir is a partner with Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) for the Creative Technology Solution program and operates a business to resolve the light poverty.
