The sister brand of Francisco Cumellas, Barcelona Rugs, was founded in 2014.
The passion we have for our beautiful city is the driving force behind the brand. Barcelona Rugs represents the elegant and modernist personality of the city, drawing inspiration from some of Barcelona’s most iconic symbols.
Our design team creates all the collections and delivers custom designs for projects, as well. We also collaborate with internationally recognized designers.
All our collections reflect the unique essence of each designer, and are further distinguished by our excellent artisanal craftsmanship, making each piece truly unique.
Every rug we create is a unique piece of art. We seek to achieve perfect harmony between design, quality and the final product in all our rugs.
The production process always starts with a process of innovation, the result of which is destined to become embodied in the design. Our initial idea is put into the hands of the client, the absolute champion of the project, who then guides us to deliver the personalized rug that fits in perfectly with their project.
The materials, handmade techniques and even the final colors, are at the mercy of each specific order and the expertise that Barcelona Rugs brings. Throughout the process, we work together continually to ensure that we achieve the final desired result.
All our rugs are made with natural materials specially chosen for their quality and are handmade, principally in India and Nepal by traditional artisanal craftsmen very representative of their culture.
We do not work with standard sizes or products in stock. Each piece is designed and produced,solely and exclusively for each customer.
In addition, we are able to customize measurements, colors and materials in all our collections.
Our design studio also creates original designs to meet the precise requirements of both residential customers and major contract projects, thus obtaining an ideal rug for each space in terms of design and technical specifications.
