PERSIANA BARCELONA
In 2009, resulting from the proposal De dins a fora awarded in the competition “Racons Públics”, in which FAD proposed to think up small interventions that could enhance some of the forgotten spaces from the city, arise PERSIANA BARCELONA.
It was a simple idea. It was about replacing the unfortunate hanging plastics from the balconies in Raval, by traditional blinds, which at the same time could protect against water. Comfort and ventilation in housing would be recovered as well as the good appearance of the façade.
From a simple idea thought for a specific place and problem to a product, which has as final goal solving a problem that affects much further than the neighbourhood.
Taking care of the smallest details, the materials, to recuperate the colors from the city, and definitely, to improve the quality of the blind that has been hanging from our balconies for centuries, are the arguments brought to our attention.
Persiana Barcelona bets on craftworks value, on rethinking the traditional roller blind as a contemporary, ecological and quality product.
