Prodromos Nikiforidis and Bernard Cuomo cooperate since 1986. Their common path started at the school of architecture in Toulouse in France in the early 80s.
They set up their architecture agency in Thessaloniki in Greece in 1996.
In their most notable projects they include: a residential building in Paris (1992-1994), the Cultural Center and Theatre in Menemeni, (Thessaloniki 1997), the Technopolis Building in Pylea, (Thessaloniki 2006-2009), the New Waterfront of Thessaloniki (2000-2014) and the building of the Treasury of the Bank of Greece in Thessaloniki, (2001-2009).
By participating in architectural competitions they have received various distinctions and awards, as the 1st prize in European 2 in 1991, the 1st prize for the redesign of the Monumental Axis of Aristotelous in Thessaloniki in 1997, the 1st prize in the architectural competition for the redevelopment of the New Waterfront of Thessaloniki in 2001 , the 1st prize for the Academy of Arts and Culture of the Municipality of Kalamaria in Thessaloniki in 2003, the 1st appraisal in the architectural competition Re-think Athens in 2013, the 1st prize in the architectural competition for the redevelopment of the littoral zone of Neapoli in Monemvasia in 2015 and others.
In 2009 they were awarded by the Greek Institute of Architecture for their architectural work during 2004-2008. In 2014 they received the UIA -International Union of Architects- prize friendly spaces accessible to all for the redevelopment of the New Waterfront of Thessaloniki and the prize Public space – landscape 2014 by the Panhellinic Association of Architects. In 2015 they were finalist for the European Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award with the project of the redevelopment of the New Waterfront of Thessaloniki, they received the Archmarathon Award and the "DOMES" 2015 award in the category "Best built work of the years 2010-2014". In 2016 they received the "Yan Ye Professional Award" in the urban design category in Nanjing –China– and they were selected by the association AIAC -Associazione Italiana di Architettura e Critica- and the magazine A10 to represent Greece at the "IN practice" in the "Fuoribiennale" in Venice. Also in 2016 they received the prize "East Centric Award 2016" in the Triennale of Architecture in Bucharest.
They have participated in numerous congresses and exhibitions.
