hazelbaker|rush is an architecture and design studio located in Tucson, Arizona that’s focused on creating handcrafted modern objects, spaces, and experiences. We feel good design lies in the realm of craft more than art, a realm of experienced things and their making. We seek to instill a warmth and comfort into a minimalist aesthetic, and to create smart spaces combining vernacular design and construction strategies with modern, sustainable technology. In the making of space we believe that the evolution of ideas and methods takes place within a process that is continually evolving to engage the client, the user, the craftsman, and the environment. The success of any design can be measure by the integrity found within this process, as well as, the experiences created by it.
