The Swedish company Resize Design was founded by the young entrepreneur Viktor Lindbäck. When Viktor decided to leave his hometown Skellefteå for studies in Stockholm, he was forced to move from one place to another due to the lack of living spaces in the city. Frustrated by traditional storage that often leaves unsightly marks on walls, Viktor started to design his own furniture. He came up with the idea to attach floating storage modules to a pillar that is extended between the floor and the ceiling. In 2013 Viktor received the Future Innovator award in Sweden for his smart solution on a pillar and got a lot of attention from the media.
