Evie Group

Evie Group is a Sydney based multidisciplinary design studio. Established in 2010 by industrial designers Alex Gilmour and Dominic Chong, their collection includes a range of award winning homewares, lighting and furniture. Designs are inspired by the clean lines of American modernism and simplicity of Scandinavian design. Each piece is carefully considered, designed with a simple elegance, timeless aesthetic and a hint of personality for users to enjoy and hold onto for years to come.
Located in Sydney’s iconic Balmain East, Evie Group’s shopfront and studio has recently featured in the Louis Vuitton’s Sydney City Guide 2016 as a design store to visit!

Background:

Alex and Dominic met while studying industrial design at UTS. The formation of Evie Group began as a hands on collaboration of the two designers looking to make their own products. The first homewares range caught the attention of Marc Newson and awarded Alex the Qantas SOYA product design in 2010, coupled with an internship in his London studio. Since then, the Evie product collection in continually growing and includes a range of accessories, furniture and their award winning lighting range Spun which features as an innovative product in the Shanghai Museum of Glass’ permanent collection.
