AKARA is an Indian company in the business of floor covering and specialized in the manufacturing of hand woven, hand tufted and hand knotted rugs, carpets and bathmats in a variety of fibers. Also specialized in floor cushion & pouffes made from rugs, AKARA offers 1000+ designs in various fibres like Wool, Jute, Hemp, Seagrass and Viscose. All products are completely hand-processed using traditional techniques of carpet weaving. An in-house design studio is equipped with state of art CAD systems and the designers are always working with weavers on innovative designs and weaves.



Due to a close control on manufacturing the company is able to fulfil custom (single-piece) orders as well as container orders. All AKARA designs can be completely customized to suit your requirements. You can choose your own size, color, design and even shapes.



AKARA has been exhibiting at Heimtextil, Frankfurt and Domotex, Hannover and has a permanent showroom at Highpoint Furniture Fair, USA. The company can rely on over 150 wholesale and international retail customers and works with over 100 interior designers, architects and small-store owners.
