KOTUstudio

Founded in 2008 by Yelta Köm and Erdem Tüzün, KOTUstudio is an ever-growing design and research practice based in Istanbul and New York. KOTUstudio uses speculation as a design tool to examine contemporary architectural problems at the intersection of politics, art, technology and architecture. It challenges an existing assumption within architecture, in an effort to push the boundaries with the help of emergent technologies. KOTUstudio believes that conventional systems can be replaced by sophisticated systems that merge digital techniques, materiality, and its aesthetic and programmatic effects on contemporary culture.
