Buzzi’s practice is not architecture of mimesis, but a contemporary reinterpretation of history. Each of our projects grows from the urban substrate and is nourished by the character of the site it will occupy, becoming the new piece of a larger mosaic. In an act of reconciliation with the past we conceive specific buildings rooted in their context, rather than dropping alien new bodies in the rising randomness of the built landscape. Our work is in dialogue with the city we contribute to generate, merging private developments to the surrounding public space, stimulating renewal and continuity.

We embrace innovative technologies and construction processes, applying them to delineate the formal and material qualities of an existing location, to link our architecture to its site but also to its time. We believe that using the tools of his époque, the architect ought to contribute to the evolution of a trade in which space and time are equally relevant. However a modern approach doesn’t necessarily need to be bold, and more than iconic buildings and loud statements, we aspire at delivering a subtle contribution to the urban fabric, yet supplying meaningful architecture.
