The python and crocodile leather comes from the most popular tanneries of Santa Croce sull’Arno (Pisa), renowned worldwide for being the area of supply of the most important fashion designers, whereas the briarwood, which is then treated through a laborious and long processing, comes from the pristine forests of the province of Grosseto, Tuscany.
Also from Tuscany are the Florentine master craftsmen makers of the fine real gold and silver leaf coatings of Cassigoli frames, as well as the expert hands which, with their invaluable work, lie behind the admirable leather dressing of frames and passepartouts. Last, the paintings and decorations on wood or real goatskin and sheepskin parchment, are the work of some of the best brushes that Tuscan art academies have ever forged.
