Modal Design

Founded in 2005, Modal Design is an award-winning design practice producing select architecture and interior projects in the United States. Led by architect Daniel Monti, the firm is engaged with the qualitative and quantitative aspects of architecture; an art form that requires human intervention to respond to varied contexts. Projects vary within residential and commercial realms and occupy all sizes and budgets. The designs draw inspiration not from the overt but from within the latent or suppressed opportunities that can be found in context, collaboration, construction and clients.
Modal Design employs a distinctive methodology in the development of contemporary architecture by questioning typical assumptions, employing systems as generators, and utilizing technology to achieve a balance between craft and computation.
