Parchettificio Toscano

The history of Parchettificio Toscano began, quite simply, with a skilled carpenter. The firm’s founder was Franco Mannucci, who began working
with wood in the early ‘50s. In 1967 he registered with the Chamber of Commerce as a flooring installer, an experience that yielded the skills
and know-how which lead him, in the late ‘70s, to start his own business making parquet. The company immediately built a reputation
for its strongly innovative bent, even in a sector that seemed to see few changes.
Franco Mannucci was the first to experiment with the new plank format that combined large dimensions with easy installation. The innovation continued
with the introduction of large formats in the ‘90s, all the way to what could be called the “artisan revival”, a return to entirelyhand-finished products,
which enhance the parquet floors with their different, customizable surfaces. Hand planing, old-fashioned workbenches, and traditional varnishing
techniques have once again come to the fore, and the spotlight is back on the genuine carpenter’s spirit of the founder. Today the company is led by his
sons, Gabriele and Giuliano,who have inherited his environmental sensitivity, creative bent, and interest in multiple materials.
And so Parchettificio Toscano continues to hold a prominent position in the sector and can look with confidence to the future
