Beyond is a newly formed creative studio which proposes new entities that take intriguing shapes and functionality into one's habitable space. Central Saint Martins product design graduate Bianca C. Padurean and University of Toronto architecture graduate Cristina Badescu are the creative duo that strive to re-examine and re-contextualize space in order to move design Beyond.
Present for the first time at 100% Design at London Design Week 2014, they propose an intriguing collection: 'Memories from Another World' which is a bold endeavor, meant to explore the future within surrounding reality. The stuff of commonplace becomes a sensational cloud of accommodating entities with approachable expressions. These objects populate space and generate multiple possibilities for personalization, modularity and multi-functionality. They enable the creation of changing, liquid patterns which take new life and respond to new behaviors.
