Vigliecca & Associados is a company based on the experience acquired over the different operating architectonic and urban production sectors, with emphasis on educational, cultural and sporting institutions, urban projects and plans, housing and urbanization.
The work developed results from critical reflection leading, consequently, to various innovative and versatile propositions.
The office is headed by the architects Hector Vigliecca and Luciene Quel, with the associate architects Ronald Werner, Neli Shimizu, Caroline Bertoldi and the engineer Paulo Serra. It comprises a team of architects carefully selected according to ethical and professional values, and it counts on the participation of technicians and specialized companies, composing, for each specific purpose, multidisciplinary teams suited to the development of each individual project.
The office is also known for its remarkable participation in more than 80 contests of architecture, national and international, being granted more than 40 awards. Some of the most emblematic distinction prizes and awards are:
1st Place for The Modernization Project of Ibirapuera Sporting Complex (São Paulo.2003);
The Honorable Distinction Award for the The Great Museum of Egypt (Cairo.2003);
Finalist on the Project for Mexico National Library (Mexico City.2003);
1st Place for The Spatial Requalification of Rio Grande do Sul Legislative Assembly (Porto Alegre.2009);
Selection and nomination for Mies van der Rohe Award (1998) with SESC Nova Iguaçu Project.
