The Andes House

The Andes House is a design studio that develops and works in the areas of design, architecture, and art. The Material and Identity are the fundamental elements in the understanding and creation of products and projects. The Material is the starting point for addressing each project, allowing one to understand, comprehend, and analyze its potential, and then begin to develop products where the material plays an essential role, typical of its characteristics. The Andes House works with Identity in order to transmit the manner in which the objects are created. We seek to communicate the origins, and the cultural context and location of the materials, while at the same time searching for solutions that are both simple and effective One of our most notable projects is madeinMIMBRE®, where we have designed a line of products made from wicker, generating products in partnership with the artisans and the community of Chimbarongo, in the VI Region of Chile.
