Emmanuelle Guerard and Christophe de Laage have been living in Chamonix for several years. They are both qualified architects from Paris la Seine architecture school and started to collaborate during their studies. They entered several competitions alongside Antoine Laguarde and Kim Nguyen and discovered they complemented each other. After their studies, Christophe moved to the Chamonix valley where he spent part of his youth in order to help Paul Parizet, an established architect. Emmanuelle enriched her experience in agencies in Paris and Brittany. Together, they developed a “green” architecture which brings together respect of traditions and contemporary approach. Emmanuelle and Christophe are constantly searching for the balance between a modern and traditional style which creates an attractive living environment. In 2007 they set up the company called “Décalaage”. Competitions: 1995 - Cim beton competition : town entrance. 1996 - Dupond de Nemours competition : embassy for exiled countries. 1996 - International solar energy competition : train station in south Korea. 1997 - BMW competition : urban centre car park. 4th prize.
