brose~fogale

brose~fogale is a collaboration between designers Matteo Fogale and Joscha Brose with studio based in London. They work in the fields of interior design, product design, bespoke furniture and installations led by a design approach that considers honest and premium materials, functionality and longevity of the product. The result is a combination of everyday objects reinterpreted with a strong iconic character. Matteo Fogale, born in Montevideo (Uruguay) moved to Italy to study industrial design at the IUAV University of Venice under professors such as Michelle de Lucchi and Tobia Scarpa. He later worked as a designer with Patricia Urquiola in Milan and senior designer for Luca Nichetto in Venice. In 2010 he moved to London to work at BarberOsgerby furniture and product design studio on projects for several clients including Vitra and B&B Italia as well as the olympic torch for the London 2012 Olympic Games. Joscha Brose, born in Berlin, studied at the University of Arts Berlin (UDK) under Prof. Axel Kufus. After working in Hong Kong, following the foundation course at the UDK, he founded Studio Hausen with Jörg Höltje in 2006 and started to work for international companies such as Ligne Roset and De La Espada. After graduating he moved to London in 2010 to work for Tom Dixon as range designer as well as innovation and special projects designer. Since the end of 2012 he has been working as a freelance designer for Conran and Faye Toogood.
