Studio Octopi

Studio Octopi are an award winning architecture practice established by Chris Romer-Lee and James Lowe. We have been producing analytical and crafted architecture and interiors since 2003. The practice has won a series of significant awards including an RIBA London Award, New London Award and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design & Urban Studies, 40 Under 40. Emerging from the directors’ experience in residential and exhibition design, the practice is confidently establishing itself across the industry. We now have clients in commercial, public and residential sectors on special or unique projects that require an exceptional response to a challenging brief. Our work has been noted for its inventive construction detailing and bespoke designs. Each project is entered into with an understanding of the site as a place, rather than just a space. Historical, material or cultural references are drawn upon to stimulate and enrich our approach. The principle of collaboration has always been at our core. Creating is a two-way process and our projects reflect the bringing together of expertise, craft knowledge and a considered, bespoke, approach to the client brief. We ask all our client’s to play an active role in the early stages of the project, establishing a concept that underpins the project through to completion.
